"Dogs are social animals" said Lisa McDonald, owner of Leader of the Pack Canine Institute, at 6346 Farm Bureau Rd. in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

McDonald said since the outbreak, her employees have doubled cleaning efforts at the doggie daycare.

"If we see a symptom on a dog, they are removed from the pack immediately", McDonald said.

McDonald's facility is equipped with a special air filtration system, a bonus considering the dog flu is transmitted like human flu through saliva and mucus.
